No one likes getting wrinkles, and yet there’s no good way to prevent them from developing.

Take forehead wrinkles, for instance.

Even if you stay hydrated and develop a thorough, consistent regimen to keep your skin wrinkle-free, you can still develop forehead wrinkles if you engage in natural human facial expressions.

There are many anti-aging solutions available these days, all you have to do is find the ones that best suit your skin care needs and lifestyle!

Neurotoxins

BOTOX® more formally known as botulinum toxin A, is one of the most popular anti-wrinkle treatments. The procedure paralyzes the muscles that cause wrinkles. This usually lasts for 3 or 4 months before you will need your next injection.  Over time, as your facial muscles are no longer making expressions, your lines and wrinkles decrease. This also slows the development of new wrinkles forming.

Fillers

As you might expect from their name, fillers fill in empty areas beneath your skin.

Hyaluronic Acid Dermal fillers are soft, gel-like substances that are injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume, smooth lines and soften creases as well as enhance facial contours. HA is a naturally occurring substance that is already found in your skin, it helps keep skin plump and hydrated. The results are temporary, lasting 6 to 12 months or longer before the body gradually and naturally absorbs the particles. Most HA fillers are infused with lidocaine to help minimize discomfort during and after treatment. A popular FDA cleared dermal filler we us at Re3 Healing in Sarasota is the JUVÉDERM® line of products: Juvéderm UltraPlus XC, VOLUMA, VOLBELLA, VOLLURE. During your consultation, the Doctor will help you select the one that will best address your areas of concern.

Microdermabrasion, Chemical Peels and IPL

The Microdermabrasion treatment manually exfoliates the skin, removing the superficial layer of dead skin cells. This skin exfoliation procedure is perfect to target fine lines, uneven pigmentation, clogged pores, texture, blackheads and more. It can increase collagen production and help even out a patient’s skin tone, revealing smooth healthy skin. This treatment is recommended monthly depending on the rejuvenation plan you and your skin care provider have discussed. Microdermabrasion is a great combination therapy with facials, peels, IPL and Microneedling.

Chemical Peels

chemical peel is a corrective treatment similar to microdermabrasion and laser treatments to remove the outermost layer of skin, allowing your body to grow a new layer of healthy skin in its place. Peels are used to improve the appearance of the skin on the face, neck or hands. Chemical peels come in many different concentrations, each with a different intensity and cost. The process, depending on the intensity of the peel, is a 4 to 7-day event for your skin. It involves a peeling solution applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. The new regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin.

IPL Treatments

IPL (intense pulsed light) therapy is a non-surgical rejuvenation method that uses light-based technology to improve the tone and texture of the skin. Also called photo rejuvenation, IPL is designed to correct skin irregularities on the face and body caused by the natural aging process, sun damage, acne scarring, smoking and much more . Our skilled medical aestheticians can utilize this treatment to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, to help prevent early signs of aging, and to improve the complexion overall. This non-invasive treatment typically requires minimal downtime. IPL is a popular cosmetic enhancement option for a wide range of people.

IPL works by sending strong pulses of light into the skin, causing controlled damage to the treated area and typically leaving surrounding tissue unharmed. As a result, your skin should produce more collagen (which supports the skin and makes it feel firm) and shed dead skin cells at a more rapid pace. Newer and more refreshed skin can then rise to the surface for a smoother, brighter and younger-looking appearance.

Microneedling

The primary appeal of microneedling is its ability to stimulate growth of collagen and elastin, which is the key to new youthful-looking skin. Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy)involves using fine needles to create hundreds of tiny, invisible micro-injuries in the top layer of skin. This is an incredibly effective treatment for reducing fine lines, wrinkles, loose skin, acne scarring and pigmentation issues. The micro-channels created stimulate the body’s natural wound healing processes causing cell turnover and increased collagen and elastin production, resulting in smoother, firmer and younger looking skin.

At Re3 Healing, Aesthetics and Wellness in Sarasota, micro-needling procedures are performed in a safe and precise manner using SkinPen®,the only class II FDA Cleared Microneedling Device.

All procedures are performed in a medically supervised clinic by a licensed aesthetician, with a level of service that our patients have come to know, appreciate and value as part of their approach to skin care.

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and Microneedling

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is produced from an individual’s own blood and contains highly concentrated amounts of natural growth factors and other cytokines that promote the regeneration process of soft tissues. After a blood sample is obtained from a patient, the blood is put into a centrifuge, which is a machine that separates the PRP from the blood. The blood is spun for approximately 15 minutes. Once this step is complete the microneedling treatment can begin. The PRP is applied directly to the skin where the channels were created from the micro-needling to further stimulate the natural healing process and creation of collagen.
